Trémula
Instalación sonora de Rogelio Sosa, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca, LE STI BI, 08-2014.
Trémula es una instalación sonora acústica realizada para el patio del MACO de la Ciudad de Oaxaca. Mediante un dispositivo eléctrico que intermitentemente pone en vibración a un conjunto de campanas de aire afinadas microtonalmente, se pretende generar un manto sonoro resonante: una sutil coloración sonora que al fundirse con el paisaje sonoro natural del patio busca exaltar las características acústicas ya presentes en el espacio.

Trémula, 2014
Trémula is a sound-kinetic installation created for the LE STI BI cycle of sound interventions curated by Mexican artist Roberto Arcaute. The work was exhibited in the courtyard of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de la Ciudad de Oaxaca.
The installation consists of a device that intermittently places four strings at different vibration frequencies from which hang several microtonally tuned air bells. When shaken, the resonant sound generated seems to cover the audience who circulates below. The result is a subtle sonic coloration that, when merging with the patio’s natural soundscape, seeks to enhance the acoustic characteristics already present in the space.
